This summer was a big for Reynolds and their beautification and for Reynolds students as well. The construction of two Eagle Scout projects happened in the early and late months of summer. One of them being picnic tables behind the auditorium and bulletin boards for Reynolds students and teachers to display information for all to see. These are located at the sidewalk at the back of the school and the picnic tables in front of the school. The two awarded their Eagle Scout awards were Matthew Arcuri a senior and Ben Shaffer who graduated with the class of 2016.
Eagle Scout awards are the highest rank a Boy Scout can achieve and it is quite an honor to receive this award. To be a recipient of this award you must complete the other responsibilities.
“I started the process of building the picnic tables and finished towards the end of the summer. It was a long and hard process that took a long time but in the end it was worth it. I am proud of what I did and am very happy to have accomplished everything I did,” senior Matthew Arcuri said.
Because this process in intense and takes a lot of time, it is important to start early and plan ahead.
The process of becoming an Eagle Scout is very long but in the end it is all worth it. The Eagle Scout project done by alumni Ben Shaffer was bulletin boards outside of Reynolds. These provide an opportunity for Reynolds students and faculty to post important information.
With Eagle Scout Awards being such a big deal, Reynolds is happy to have these awesome projects added to the beautification of the school.
“The award of an Eagle Scout is such an honor and I am so happy to know that my project will be a great addition to tradition at Reynolds,” Arcuri said.
