For the entirety of his time at Reynolds, Charles Wattleworth has torn up the lacrosse field as a starting varsity attackman and midfielder. Since his freshman year playing for Reynolds, he has been putting in work year round to become a better player.

Wattleworth has been playing lacrosse since the sixth grade and knew that he wanted to play lacrosse for Reynolds even before he got there, following in the footsteps of his older brother, Ben. Now in his last season as a Reynolds lacrosse player, Wattleworth understands what it means to be part of a team.

“Since I’ve been playing with Charles, he has been constantly trying to improve himself and those around him. He also works hard at maintaining and strengthening our team chemistry. In turn, we are able to see each others strengths and weaknesses,” teammate Ethan Mou said.

Other than lacrosse, Wattleworth contributes to his community as a member of the Key Club, a service oriented program at Reynolds led by history teacher John Clevenger. Throughout his time at Reynolds, Wattleworth has built a relationship with Clevenger not only through the Key Club but also by having him as a teacher.

“Mr. Clevenger’s AP US History class was the most intriguing to me because of how well he engaged with his students,” Wattleworth said.

Although Wattleworth is still waiting to accept a college admission for fall 2019, he is eager to graduate and look forward to the next four years as a college student.
