The men’s soccer team won their last regular season home game last night against Reagan. After losing to the team earlier in the season 5-2 and winning 1-0, it was a high stakes tie breaker game. With a very persistent defense and goals coming from Elijah Kennedy, Thomas Geis and Will Rawlings, Reynolds was able to get the win they were looking for, to beat the Raiders 3-1 on Senior Night.

#4 Defensive Midfielder Austin Smith has played soccer at RJR for four years. His other activities at RJR include ECO Club, Outdoors Club, Spanish Club, Math Academic Team, and Tennis. He is a member of National Honors Society, Spanish National Honors Society and was Homecoming King of Compassion. His favorite memory on the RJR soccer team was Elijah Knight’s last minute winner against High Point Central. Austin wants to make it big with Carolina Crossing.
#6 Defender John Yates has played soccer at RJR for four years. His other activities at RJR include Spanish Club and Football. He is a member of Crosby Scholars and National Honors Society. His favorite memory of RJR soccer is being a part of a winning program this year. John wants to attend UNC Chapel Hill.
#8 Center Midfielder Ben Williams has played soccer at RJR for four years, one on JV and three on Varsity. His other activities at RJR include Photo Club and Film Club. He is a member of both National Honors Society and Spanish National Honors Society as well as being an AP Scholar and a Junior Marshal. His favorite memory of RJR soccer was scoring the game winning goal at North Davidson this year. Ben wants to get his Doctorate in Biology to pursue research biology.
#9 Center Back Co-Captain Thomas Geis has played soccer at RJR for four years on varsity. His other activities at RJR include Key Club and Youth and Government where he serves as delegation leader. He is also a member of National Honor Society, Speech and Debate Honor Society, Crosby Scholars and is an Eagle Scout. His favorite memory playing RJR soccer was his debut against Mt. Tabor his freshman year in the Forsyth Cup when he scored the winning goal. Thomas wants to study law at either University of South Carolina, UNC Chapel State, NC State or Wake Forest.
#14 Defender Kelton Miller has played soccer at RJR for two years and has played soccer every season since the age of five for Twins and Fusion including three years at Summit School where he was team captain for two years and won MVP. He was a member of the Fusion team that qualified to compete in the Southeast Region III division and was selected as member of a travel team that competed in a tournament in Italy. Through soccer, Kelton has become proficient in Italilan and Spanish while studying as a foreign exchange student. While studying in Chile he trained with Club Universidad de Chile for a semester and with Unione Avellino in Italy for another semester. He was the youngest player to be named “Player of the Month” by the Beunos Aires Futbol Amigos in Argentina. Kelton’s ultimate compliment while abroad was in Nicaragua when a logal yelled, “He is one of us!” after he made an impressive play. His favorite memory playing RJR soccer was when Coach Sabio put Andrew in at center attacking mid and Andrew proceeded to thank him by tenderly caresing the underside of Sabio’s hand. Kelton wants to pursue his passion of learning languages and studying different cultures, he hopes to apply these things in the areas of international affairs and business.
#17 Midfielder Hla Ka Paw has played soccer at RJR for four years, one on JV and three on Varsity. His favorite memory is scoring his first goal against West Forsyth last year. Hla wants to become a physician.
#23 Midfielder Caleb Kritchevsky has played soccer at RJR for four years and has played Twins soccer for 10 years including ’98 Boys White. His other activities at RJR include band, orchestra, key club and newspaper. Caleb is a member of National Honor Society, President of Key Club, and Managing Editor of Pine Whispers. In 2016 he won the Presidential Service Award, made All State Band as third chair Trumpet and attended Governor’s School for instrumental music. Caleb’s favorite memory on the RJR soccer team was this year when Coach Sabio put Andrew in at attacking center mid and Andrew proceeded to thank him by tenderly caressing Sabio’s outstretched hand. Caleb wants to attend Wake Forest University and study economics.
#99 Goalkeeper Co-Captain Jackson LaBrecque has played soccer at RJR for four years, one on JV and three on Varsity. His other activities at RJR include A Cappella and serving as a Rowdies President. He is a member of National Honor Society. His favorite memory of RJR soccer was being voted a captain his senior year. Jackson wants to study business at either Wake Forest University, Appalachian State, UNC Wilmington, or NC State.
