Strode Blanchard has excelled at Reynolds and is one of the top students in the senior class. He has been involved with activities around the school during his four years and will leave a major impact on the school.

Blanchard is a stand out violinist in the Reynolds orchestra.

“I have been in the Reynolds orchestra for all four years and I have played since I was in kindergarten. I also played in the Winston-Salem philharmonic for two years,” Blanchard said.

In the fall, Blanchard is planning on furthering his education at a university but hasn’t made a decision yet.

“I haven’t decided on a college yet,” Blanchard said. “I’m down to Wake and UNC at this point,”

Even though he spent a good portion of his time playing the violin in high school, blanchard has different plans for college.

“I probably won’t do orchestra in college but I will still play in some capacity.”

Blanchard is also a member of the tennis team.

“I last played when I lived in Florida in fifth grade and decided to pick it back up this year,” Blanchard said.

Despite this being his first year on the team, Blanchard has made a big impact and has secured a top spot on the team.

“I have rotated between the one and three spots on the team. It has been a really great experience,” Blanchard said.

Blanchard has left a strong and lasting impact on Reynolds and will excel wherever he ends up going next year.
